Children In Care Council

Shaping the future of care in Bury

CICC Home page

Introduction

The Children in Care Care Council is made up of children and young people in care, looked after by Bury Local Authority or care leavers that have previously been looked after by Bury.

We meet twice a month, usually every second and fourth Friday of the month. These meetings involve craft activities, discussions of relevant issues and the chance to get your voices heard. Any looked after young person or care leaver can be involved and have their say.

If you are 11-18 and are in care with Bury Social Care: please complete a short survey about being in care. Go to the Children's Promise tab - the survey is in "Treat me as your own". There is a prize draw for all those who complete it and you can help to make a difference for all children and young people living in care. Thank you.
